Allegorical Gameboard Art
Inspired to craft a more dynamic piece where the design called on perspective left, right, up, down, inside, and out. This piece has a lot going on. To me, it was almost mesmerizing. Or is it hypnotizing? In all honesty, I am a System of a Down fan and their Mesmerize and Hypnotize albums helped name this piece.
Supplies:
Inspiration for this piece was to showcase how landscapes can change over time. It was a no-brainer to have the layout be a diptych. I wanted the left side to be based in peace and nature and the right side to depict city growth and chaos. I think it’s a good piece, but lacked execution. I am actually considering re-doing the piece with a bit of a different layout.

At the time, I was looking to take a bit of a break from producing art. But I found inspiration and went with it. I had a friend who loved the band ODESZA and thought it would be a rad gift to give her an art piece inspired by their unique logo. I researched the band and designs around EDM music and came up with the idea for the piece. I think it turned out pretty cool, especially with the floating tiles.
