The pig is the twelfth animal in the Chinese zodiac system. In the mythical race, the pig finished last because it was too slow of a swimmer. Versions of the myth say it went up the wrong side of the river first, potentially because it was the last animal to arrive at the initial meeting and was thus uninformed.
