How do you name your very first original art piece? I did NOT consider myself at artist at the time so ‘naming’ a piece was foreign to me. Since my style was abstract and there was no concept, I figured the name should reflect the fact that it was the very first of something. I found the Latin phrase primum non nocere which means ‘first, do no harm’ and thought it was the perfect fit. Hence, the name PRIMUM.
