General Vicinity (2016)

With two prior art pieces under my belt at this point, I wanted to take a step forward with layout. I have always been intrigued with crafting a boarder to a piece, so that was a clear intention. I am not sure where the idea for separating out the piece into 3 sections came from, but I guess it makes sense. What was I trying to communicate with this piece? I wanted to portray being on the road to somewhere better, and do that in an abstract way. No matter where you are at the time, you can take the road to better yourself. There is a relativity about this. This lead to the name ‘General Vicinity’.
